Job Description

Valbin Corporation is seeking experienced surge based I&C Technicians (RF Specific) to support coordination and delivery of Army training programs. The ideal candidate will have been a prior Signals Corps E5. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Under the I&C Lead’s guidance, establishes and manages the UHF (admin comms) and 915 MHz (FREDI tracking) networks.
• Assists in the installation, configuration, maintenance, and recovery of the field communications system to include RF communications equipment, with emphasis on UHF LMR (handhelds, base stations, repeaters, tower mass head build outs, antenna assembly, VolP and associated support accessories).
• Installs, configures, maintains, and recovers the in-field IT /network equipment to include wireless point to point links, managed switches, Ethernet cable, and fiber optic cable
• Assists in the testing and troubleshooting of the network and UHF system once setup is complete, including the end-to-end test.
• Monitors the network during the sustainment phase of the exercise, troubleshoots and maintains as required.
• Assists in the build out of the tactical comms system and coordinates with and escorts the RTU/CATB to each of 5 UHF tower sites for COMSEC fill.
• Assists in the establishment of internet for ESC, I&C, LOG, BFE as required
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs in equipment.
• Conducts post mission requirements.
• Supports the overall operational delivery of contracts on site during the period of execution as part of the 24-hour I&C team.
• Reports to the I&C Lead.

  • Additional information: 
• Prior E5 Signals Corps with RF Experience, and/or 3 years prior I&C Technician in the XCTC program, and/or 3 years commensurate civilian RF experience.
• Position requires close customer contact, the ability to work independently and creatively.
• Successful candidates must exhibit the ability to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues.
• Estimated rotation dates: June 26-August 1, 2025**
