What You’ll Do Under administrative supervision, this position plans, directs, and coordinates all functions of Inventory and Warehouse Services for Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS).
You will serve as ODJFS’s main point of contact within Information Management Section for all inventory and warehouse services. This position will coordinate pick-up and delivery logistics of agency records, supplies, and equipment; develops, implements, and enforces inventory control systems (e.g., forms; equipment; furniture) in accordance with agency policies and procedures, state statutes, and/or federal regulations.
Some Examples Of Required Duties - Supervising assigned staff and aligning team with agency mission.
- Prepare annual, monthly, and weekly reports with analytics, trends and metrics for inventory and forms.
- Act as liaison for warehouse and inventory services with other ODJFS’s offices, county partners, other public sector offices, vendors, private industry etc. to discuss, explain and interpret policies, rules, and regulations regarding business of Warehouse and Inventory services.
- Reviewing vendor contracts, purchase orders and invoices.
- Receives and processes information technology (IT) equipment (e.g., ServiceNow; AssetTrack; Information Forms Management System [IFMS]; Ohio Administrative Knowledge System [OAKS]; OhioBuys).
- Monitors asset inventory system on a regular basis to ensure accuracy by reviewing asset information entered by Office of Employee and Business Services [OEBS] staff and Office of Information Services [OIS] staff including new assets; transferred assets; retired assets etc. and makes corrections as needed.
- Research, plan, innovate, refine, recommend, and implement efficient processes for warehouse/inventory processes.
- Performs quality checks, rotates stock for efficient storage, and conducts yearly physical inventory; coordinates inventory tagging of equipment pursuant to agency and/or state policies and procedures.
- Removes old and/or non-working equipment through salvage disposal); coordinates and maintains warehouse space allocation, storage, and security.
- Review and approve expenditures for related services.
- Lead Warehouse and records team with positivity, inclusiveness, empathy, encourage creativity, and goal setting.
You will work with various electronic systems: Microsoft Suite, ServiceNow, AssetTrack, Information Forms Management System (IFMS), OAKS, and Ohio Buys
Necessary Skills: administrative support/services, data entry, data analytics, written communication, verbal communication, attention to detail, organizing and planning.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; flexible scheduling available. Travel: T ravel required, as needed. Must provide own transportation or, in order to operate a state vehicle, you must have a valid drivers license.

Option 1 The ideal candidate, at minimum, must have the following:
- Completion of undergraduate core program in business or public administration or closely related area.
Option 2- Or 24 mos. exp. in administrative, management or supervisory position.
Option 3 Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.

Pay Information This position is in the State of Ohio’s E1 Pay Schedule, Pay Range 12. Unless required by legislation or union contract, starting salary will be the minimum salary of that pay range (step 1, currently $30.96 per hour). These ranges provide a standardized pathway for pay increases. With continued employment, new hires move to the next step in the range after 6 months and annually thereafter. Cost of Living Adjustments increase wages in these ranges each fiscal year. The current step progression wages are in the table below.
