Job Description

We're seeking a Traffic Engineer who will spearhead the planning, design, and execution of transportation engineering endeavors. As a seasoned Registered Professional Engineer, you'll apply your expertise in civil engineering to a variety of transportation projects. Here's what you'll be up to:

Responsibilities:

• Offer technical prowess and engineering insight, crafting technical proposals and estimating costs.
• Dive into traffic and transportation systems analysis, mapping out plans and designs.
• Assess project feasibility by crunching collected data.
• Keep tabs on project scope, schedule, and budget adherence.
• Oversee the performance of project personnel.
• Engage in a spectrum of transportation engineering tasks, from conducting existing condition and traffic surveys to crafting final plans and cost estimates, all while meeting TxDOT and other agency standards.
• Any other tasks that come your way.

Required Qualifications:

• Hold a degree in engineering, planning, or a related field.
• Possess a PE License in Texas
• Have (5) five or more years of progressive experience tackling engineering tasks like those outlined above, focusing on traffic engineering studies, report writing, traffic impact analysis, signing and striping design, corridor mobility and long-term improvement analysis, and signal/electrical design.
• Be well-versed in the engineering software, programs, and methodologies pertinent to the abovementioned duties.
• Pass background and driver's record checks.

Desired Qualifications:

• Proficiency in CADD software.
• Familiarity with SYNCHRO, VISSIM, and similar modeling software.
• TxDOT precertification in relevant categories.
