Job Description

The Industry Vertical quality engineering team at ServiceNow is the team that specifically focuses on testing and ensuring the quality of software designed for different industry sectors, like healthcare, finance, or retail, within the ServiceNow platform, making sure the features and functionalities work properly within the unique needs of each industry. 

What you get to do in this role:
Standardized testing methodologies: We establish and maintain consistent testing frameworks and processes across different teams to ensure a unified approach to quality assurance. 

Knowledge transfer: Your knowledge and best practices related to testing techniques, defect management, and quality standards with other teams within ServiceNow. 

Identifying platform-wide issues: You will look for potential issues that might impact multiple products or features due to their broad expanse of the ServiceNow platform. 

What you get to do in this role:  

• Maintain existing automation test frameworks
• Collect and report quality metrics from test execution
• Work with developers to design specific testing strategies for features being developed and automate them
• Create comprehensive test plans; execute and automate them
• Partner with engineering organizations in troubleshooting or addressing issues with applications and dev/test environments

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

• Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry.
• 5+ years of experience with quality assurance and Java programming with Selenium, JUnit and TestNG
• 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.
• Fluency with scripting in JavaScript. Experience with Eclipse, Jenkin, Maven, and Git
• Knowledge of testing techniques (e.g. performance, unit, integration, automated), their strengths and weakness, and ability to use them to best effect
• Ability to use tools (such as IDE, debugger, build tools, source control, ServiceNow instances, profilers, system administration/Unix tools) to assist with daily tasks
• Experience driving cross-team technical discussions with a knowledge of SDLC concepts

For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $125,300 - $213,100, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as
