Job Description Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst is a high impact position that will drive value through financial analysis, forecasting, reporting, financial modeling, and partnering with organizational leaders. The Senior Financial Analyst will liaise and communicate with key stakeholders across the entire organization and gain exposure to key areas of the business.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leads financial systems and reporting automation and optimization efforts. Ensures proper financial systems configuration and data accuracy.
  • Partners with program and divisional leadership by delivering on-time, accurate financial insights.
  • Analyzes and reports on current financial performance at various company levels.
  • Provides variance analysis of forecasted and actual results and identifies areas of improvement.
  • Contributes to the budgeting process for departments, programs, and projects by completing necessary analysis, templates, reports, and presentations.
  • Contributes to, implements, and maintains the organization’s forecasting and budgeting process transformation.
  • Partners with stakeholders to produce financial and operational forecasts at multiple levels of the organization.
  • Develops financial models including benchmarking, trends, process analysis, and for valuing various business development opportunities. 
  • Provides guidance to Accounting in various aspects of the month-end close process, including accrual entries and accounting adjustments. Reviews accounting transactions for data accuracy.
  • Prepares and effectively communicates data in both oral and written formats (Email, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) to a wide variety of users.
  • Assures quality customer service to all business partners.
  • Performs all assigned duties in compliance with internal SOPs and external regulations. Brings compliance issues to the attention of management.
  • Performs all other duties, at the discretion of management, as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of financial planning and analysis or other related experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA or other related graduate degree.
  • Experience with Workday Financials, Adaptive, and/or OfficeConnect.
  • Experience building and maintaining dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Must possess the skills and abilities to successfully perform all assigned duties and responsibilities.
  • Strong financial acumen and forecasting model development proficiency
  • Must have analytical, statistical, personal organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management to provide consistent high levels of customer service.
  • Must have proficient technology skills, including financial planning systems and database applications, and experience with data analytics; Workday Adaptive Insights experience is a plus.
  • Ability to think strategically and independently.
  • Ability to establish priorities and follow through on projects, paying close attention to detail with minimal supervision.
  • Able to organize, prioritize, and execute a variable workload and multiple priorities.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.

PHYSICAL & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Work environment: Hybrid
  • Travel: < 5% travel
  • 5+ hours per shift: Sitting, finger dexterity, reaching waist to shoulder.
  • Up to 3 hours per shift: Standing, walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, handling, driving, reaching above shoulders, reaching waist to shoulder, reaching knee to waist, reaching floor to knee, grasping items, lift/carry/move items up to 40 pounds, push/pull items up to 10 pounds.
