ABOUT THE JOB:

The primary focus of this position is to support and administer Salesforce.com. The ideal candidate will be responsible for design and development of customizations, extensions, configurations of the Salesforce.com platform, and integrations. This person will utilize best practices to provide operational support, technical assistance with enhancements and bug fixes as needed to the Salesforce.com platform. The Salesforce developer role will need to demonstrate an understanding of software engineering concepts and object-oriented design as well as a proven track record working in an Agile environment. This position will work collaboratively with the Salesforce Technical Analysts. 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Identify, analyze and develop functionality using the Force.com platform. 
  • Software engineering skills with Force.com Platform (Apex, VisualForce, SOQL, Unit Testing) 
  • Work collaborative with the Technical Analyst to implement the technical specifications
  • Develop and configure functionality to meet the defined requirements. 
  • Comply with and help to enforce design and coding standards, policies and procedures. 
  • Ensure documentation is well maintained. 
  • Ensure quality of coded components by performing thorough testing. 
  • Act as a point of escalation for the Service Desk for advanced issue resolution.
  • Report status, issues and risks to the manager on regular basis 
  • Improve skills in Force.com products by completing Salesforce trailhead trails 
  • Assist offshore development team as needed
  • Enforce and adhere to the Data & Technical Governance and assist with migration efforts. 
  • Advocate the adoption of CRM related tools and identify technical or process enhancements that will increase operational efficiencies.
  • Keep up to date with the new Salesforce releases and new features.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree required - Computer Science, MIS or equivalent
  • Salesforce.com or other relevant certification required (Certified Platform Developer I & II, CPQ)
  • 5+ years of Salesforce experience (Sales Cloud, Salesforce CPQ, Service Cloud & FSL)
  • 5+ years of experience with Applications Development
  • Demonstrated experience in Apex, Triggers, Visual Force, and Lighting Components
  • Experience with the Agile Scrum Framework 
  • Experience with web services (REST & SOAP, JSON & XML, etc.)
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, XML, HTML5, and jQuery
  • Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming languages (Java, Python, C#, etc.)
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Experience with Power Point, Excel, Office 365, and MS Word
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
