Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Pediatrician to join our team in our busy urgent care setting. This position involves providing comprehensive acute care to pediatric patients, ensuring accurate diagnoses, effective treatment plans, and compassionate patient care. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering exceptional care to children and their families. This is a shift-based position, working approximately 3 shifts per week, allowing for excellent work-life balance. Shifts are primarily during evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and treat pediatric patients with acute illnesses and injuries.
• Obtain detailed medical histories, perform physical examinations, and order appropriate diagnostic tests.
• Interpret diagnostic test results and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
• Administer medications and perform procedures as needed.
• Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment options, and preventative care.
• Collaborate effectively with other medical professionals, including nurses, technicians, and administrative staff.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
• Adhere to all established protocols, policies, and procedures.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive work environment.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families.
• Manage a high volume of patients efficiently while maintaining quality of care.

Qualifications:

• Medical degree (MD or DO).
• Completion of a pediatric residency program.
• Board certification in Pediatrics (or eligibility for certification).
• Current and unrestricted medical license in Virginia
• DEA license.
• Experience in pediatric urgent care or emergency medicine preferred.
• Excellent clinical skills and judgment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, specifically evenings, weekends, and holidays .
