Job Classification: Patrol Deputy
The Kendall County Sheriff's Office is currently accepting applications for the position of Patrol Deputy.


Salary Information: $70,729.96 - $103,638.90 (based on experience and qualifications)

Job Requirements
Age:
- Must be at least 21 years old by the time of certification.
- Applicants aged 20 may apply but must turn 21 before employment certification.


Citizenship Required:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or an alien admitted for permanent or temporary residence intending to become a U.S. Citizen.


High School Grad / GED:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.


Driver's License:
- Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to obtain an Illinois Driver's License upon hiring.


Eyesight:
- Vision must be correctable to 20/20 and free of color or night blindness. Eyesight:


Additional Requirements:
- Must successfully complete all phases of testing, including:
- - Physical agility test
- - Written examination
- - Oral interview
- - Psychological evaluation
- - Medical exam
- - Pre-employment drug screening
- - Background investigation, including a polygraph
- Must possess a valid Police Officer Physical Ability Test (POWER) certification by the background phase. Certifications must be dated within one year of issuance.
- No felony convictions, domestic violence convictions, or misdemeanors involving moral turpitude.
- No dishonorable discharge from military service.


Hiring Process:
1. Complete the National Testing Network (NTN) Exam:
- Schedule and take the video-based job simulation multiple-choice exam through the National Testing Network.
- The exam must be completed and submitted by February 23, 2025, at 11:59 PM CST.
2. In-Person Interviews:
- Applicants scoring 70% or higher on each section of the exam will be invited to interview. Interviews will be scheduled between February 10 -28, 2025, during business hours.
