We are seeking and experienced Paralegal to join our Immigration Team in Seattle. This position is responsible for actively contributing in a team environment by providing support to Shareholders, Associates and Staff Attorneys. The Immigration Paralegal is an integral part of the team, assisting in the preparation of applications and petitions, case strategies, client correspondence and case management technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize understanding of immigration laws and procedures to assemble and prepare visa status petitions (simple and complex).
  • Conduct factual and legal research to analyze companies’ and employees’ qualifications for visa status petitions
  • Perform research to obtain information such as background on a company or industry, current wages, processing procedures, standard government processing times, etc.
  • Create and maintain up-to-date electronic and hard copy records.
  • Prepare letters transmitting USCIS and DOL notices
  • Prepare correspondence to clients and government agencies
  • Execute diverse and flexible case processing tasks as required by legal strategy or attorney assignment
  • Manages status of all filed applications and petitions
  • Utilize templates as well as creative thinking and writing skills when completing documents for attorney review
  • Utilize document and data management systems to prepare, monitor, and record all aspects of client casework

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5 – 7 years of experience as a corporate immigration paralegal
  • Superb organizational skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and take actions independently
  • Ability to manage cases and work within deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to proofread and edit one’s own work product
  • Good general computer knowledge and typing skills, including word-processing and email
  • Professional, respectful attitude towards all coworkers and clients
  • Ability to receive and analyze information
  • Ability to share information with office members
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge of and experience using MS Office and scanning and copying

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

Hours / Schedule / Location:

  • 37.5 hours per week / Monday through Friday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM / Seattle office
  • This is a full-time, non-exempt position that requires regular and predictable attendance
  • Infrequent travel may be required for cross-office projects
  • Hybrid - Remote and On-site work will be necessary for this role

Salary Range:

  • $65,000 to $105,000 Annually

Other Compensation:

  • Other compensation may include bonuses, profit sharing, HSA employer contributions, prizes and gifts
