Job Description
Marketing Lead - Education Technology Startup
We are an innovative platform that aims to revolutionize how families navigate their children's educational journeys. Our platform empowers parents to find, apply to, register, and pay for schools and programs, all through a single, easy-to-use application. We also streamline backend admissions and operational workflows for schools, districts, and educational providers, enabling them to better serve students. Think of us as the "OpenTable for Education" or "Mindbody for Schools."
Role Overview
We're excited about the impact we've made so far and are looking to accelerate our growth. With large customers across major cities, a passionate team, and a strong reputation in the industry, we are now expanding our Marketing team to help us grow even faster.
We're seeking a talented, versatile marketer to join our growing team as our second marketing hire. You will work closely with leaders across the company to build our brand and support pipeline growth. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to co-own the marketing playbook, overseeing everything from planning and development to execution and performance measurement. You will also have direct responsibility for demand generation activities, including paid advertising campaigns.
Location
While we are a semi-remote company with hubs in San Francisco and Boston, we strongly prefer candidates located in or near the San Francisco Bay Area for in-person collaboration with our CEO, Marketing Lead, and Sales Lead.

Growing and Engaging Social Media - Develop and implement strategies to increase our social media presence.
Content Creation and Development - Write, develop, and repurpose impactful content for different channels.
This is a generalist role, and while we're seeking someone with a strong background in demand generation and digital marketing, there is flexibility to take on additional responsibilities based on your skills and career interests. You'll be part of a fast-paced, startup environment that values independent work and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Specific Examples of Tasks:
Lead List Building - Identify potential customers who match our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and create outbound targeting lists using tools like LinkedIn, RocketReach, and district websites.
Cold Outreach - Write and send tailored cold emails to prospects, collaborating with team members to scale your outreach efforts.
Website Management - Co-manage our website content and copy, ensuring it aligns with current messaging and positioning.
Social Media Strategy - Regularly post content and develop a broader strategy to grow our following.
Webinars - Organize and promote webinars, ensuring strong registration numbers and post-event engagement.
Content Repurposing - Write and repurpose content for blogs, social media, and email marketing.
Event Management - Oversee event planning, including sponsorships, booth setup, and post-event follow-up.
Sales Enablement - Provide sales teams with collateral, materials, and support as needed.
