POSITION SUMMARY

KBX Golden, a division of Wind River Environmental, services municipal wastewater systems.

 

In this field-based position, the Lift Station Technician is responsible for completing wastewater lift station maintenance inspections, troubleshoot issues and repairs. 

Requirements: 

• Must have experience with Wastewater Lift Stations
• Knowledge and experience with both the mechanical and electrical aspects of lift stations
• Previous experience working on control panels, 3-phase electricity, wastewater pumps, VFD’s and alarms
• Valid driver’s license & ability to comply with DOT regulations

Shift : Monday - Friday

Hours : Days

Over Time : Yes, with occasional on-call and weekend hours

Pay : Up to $35 per hour (depending on experience and skill set)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs maintenance, replacement, and repair of various lift station components
• Troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and performing repairs
• Maintenance and repair of electrical control panels.
• Responds to trouble alarms during normal working hours.
• Responds to emergencies and trouble alarms after hours.
• Work within confined spaces such as manholes, or wet wells.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Ability to understand instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. 
• Ability to read and interpret documents including Company policies and procedures, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, maps and road signs.
• Ability to speak, cooperate and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers and management.
• Ability to work independently and manage pressure to meet deadlines.
• Basic computer literacy including email and internet skills.
• Ability to perform basic math functions.
• Two or more years of experience performing lift station maintenance and repairs.
• Driver's license required, in good standing
• Previous experience working with electrical components (pumps, alarms, control panels)
