Are you a dedicated and experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse looking to make a meaningful impact? We are seeking a Med Surg VA Reviewer to join our dynamic team in a rewarding remote role with a reputable non-profit organization.

Key Qualifications:
A current, non-restricted nursing license in a U.S. state or territory.
Active engagement in clinical practice with maintained hospital privileges.
A minimum of 5 years of active clinical practice within the Med/Surg specialty, including at least 2 years of recent experience relevant to the specialty being reviewed.
Availability to work a minimum of 20 clinical hours per month.
Benefits:
Competitive VA per Case Rates (subject to contract year adjustments).
A one-time payment of $150 upon obtaining the VA PIV card.
Compensation for cases at a flat rate based on case type.
Facility Requested Reviews (FRRs): $95 per case
Medical Advisory Opinions (MAOs): $225 per case
Please note that training time is not compensated.
Responsibilities:
Facility Requested Audits: Conduct quality management reviews using a standardized set of questions to assess the timeliness and appropriateness of the standard of care (approx. 1 hour to complete).
Management of Other Cases: Engage with a non-standardized set of questions for cases initiated based on various performance improvement indicators (approx. 1 hour to complete).
Medical Advisory Opinions: Address non-standardized questions posed by attorneys, typically in response to patient complaints or malpractice concerns (approx. 2-4 hours to complete).
Rest assured, all VA case reviews are conducted with strict confidentiality, and reviewers will not be asked to present in court.
