Job Summary

You will be an integral part of our kitchen staff, ensuring the seamless delivery of high-quality meals during a temporary staffing shortage.

Job Description

• Lead and oversee the kitchen team, delegating tasks and ensuring smooth operations.
• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
• Adapt to changing needs and demands in a fast-paced café kitchen.
• Assist with food preparation tasks, including cutting, prepping desserts, and other duties as needed.

Skills Required

• Proven experience as a lead cook in a commercial kitchen, highly preferred.
• Minimum of two years or more recent experience as a cook in a commercial kitchen.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing needs.
• Willingness to obtain a valid food handlers card for the state of Washington (Cost $10 and can be done online at

Additional Requirements

• This is a temporary position with a competitive hourly rate.
• Two shifts available: AM and PM, with possible overlap between shifts.
• Café hours of operation are 11:00 AM to 3:00 AM.
• Managers will be available to provide assistance as needed.
• You will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of culinary professionals.
• Background check and drug screen will be conducted.
