About Us: Moonlighting Landscape Lighting Systems is the outdoor lighting firm of choice in Charleston, SC, with over 30 years of experience. We are a design/build firm seeking the role of outdoor lighting designer/project manager. We take pride in illuminating some of the most prestigious homes and gardens in the lowcountry and beyond. Our team is dedicated to creativity, quality, and exceeding client expectations with every project.

Position Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic Outdoor Lighting Designer/Project Manager to join our dynamic team. This role requires someone with passion, a creative mindset, and the ability to manage projects from conception to completion. While experience in the outdoor or green industry is advantageous, we are open to training the right candidate who demonstrates the energy and willingness to learn this amazing, niche industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Meet with clients to understand their outdoor lighting needs and preferences.
• Design custom landscape lighting solutions that enhance the aesthetic and functionality of outdoor spaces.
• Manage projects from initial client consultation through to project completion and client handover.
• Coordinate with installation teams to ensure accurate project execution and timely completion.
• Conduct site visits to assess installation requirements and provide on-site project management as needed.
• Maintain clear communication with clients, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any concerns promptly.
• Oversee project budgets and timelines, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Qualifications:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members.
• Project management experience or the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., CAD, lighting design software) is a plus, however not required.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry trends.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver's license, with clean driving record and reliable transportation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
