Duolingo is looking for a tech-savvy pedagogy professional who is proficient in Korean to help write logic rules that automatically classify grammar mistakes. This is a freelance position (no benefits included). All work will be conducted remotely and hours are flexible.

You will:

• Analyze learner errors in Korean and group them into relevant grammar concepts using technology

You have:

• BA in Korean , Linguistics, or a related field
• Full proficiency in Korean
• Full professional proficiency in English
• Ability to think about language analytically (e.g., breaking down grammatical concepts into smaller parts for the purposes of teaching)
• Ability to describe grammar concepts using non-academic language
• Experience teaching Korean to speakers of English and/or experience developing content for language learning curricula
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work 25-30 hours a week

Exceptional candidates will have:

• MA in Korean Linguistics, or a related field
• Advanced proficiency in both Korean and Japanese
• Familiarity with a programming language, grammatical analysis, or conventions of formal logic
