Job Description

ABOUT BATHHOUSE

Bathhouse is a home for people who strive to look, feel, and perform their very best. Guests utilize our amenities (thermal pools, saunas, steam room) in a sleek, modern, and socially engaging atmosphere. Our best-in-class massages and scrubs are protocol-driven treatments delivered by a superstar team of Licensed Massage Therapists and Estheticians. Anybody with a body can benefit from a Bathhouse service. Bathhouse is an oasis to be fundamentally human. We focus on functionality over preciousness and recovery over relaxation—the "anti-spa" spa experience. We are industry rebels. Join us.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As an Interior Architect at Bathhouse, you will play a key role in shaping the spatial identity of our current and future locations. You'll help us evolve and maintain a distinct design language that aligns with our brand values: minimalist yet warm, functional yet beautiful, bold yet human. You will collaborate closely with our founder, inhouse project manager, external architects, vendors, engineers, and contractors to conceptualize and design interior schematic sets that elevate the Bathhouse experience. You are highly detail-oriented, innovative, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You're as comfortable sketching early-stage concepts as you are reviewing shop drawings or selecting hardware finishes. You understand how physical space affects emotional experience and are passionate about designing environments that foster human connection, wellbeing, and performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the interior design vision and architectural detailing for Bathhouse spaces across new builds, renovations, and ongoing enhancements.
  • Develop bathhouse specific design look books, floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations, sections, and interior material specifications in CAD, Revit (or similar).
  • Oversee all phases of design from schematic through construction administration with the architect of record.
  • Collaborate with external architects, MEP engineers, and contractors to ensure spatial and functional integrity across all systems and construction methods.
  • Source, specify, and coordinate finishes, FF&E, lighting, and custom millwork.
  • Coordinate with operations, branding, wellness, and construction teams to ensure designs are not only beautiful, but also buildable, functional, and aligned with brand goals.
  • Create and manage detailed drawing sets and construction documents.
  • Attend site visits and walkthroughs to ensure accurate implementation of design intent and resolve issues during construction.
  • Understand and apply ADA and local building code requirements to drawing and construction documents
  • Contribute to internal design guidelines and help evolve the Bathhouse brand spatially and materially across locations.

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Architecture, Interior Design, or Architecture.
  • 5+ years of professional experience designing interior environments, preferably in hospitality, wellness, or high-end retail.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, accessibility standards, and construction detailing.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino and/or SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with project management tools and Google Suite.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
  • Deep attention to detail with the ability to see both the big picture and the smallest finish detail.
  • Experience working directly with contractors, fabricators, and consultants.
  • Knowledge of sustainable and wellness-focused materials and systems is a plus.
  • Passion for hospitality, human-centered design, and creating spatial experiences that inspire and restore.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90-110k base salary

Benefits: Health insurance; Free unlimited admission to Bathhouse with a plus one; 50% off services, products, and restaurant.
