Job Description

This is a hybrid role based out of Mountain View, CA.

Designing for CrunchLabs means you’ll be tasked with illustrating STEAM toys that teach through play. Our illustrators partner with our product designers to depict the mechanisms and physics utilized in our products. We constantly push each other to make better products and become better designers no matter our skill level. We don’t only want to grow as a company, we want our people to grow as well.

What will you be doing?

As an Illustrator at CrunchLabs, you will collaborate with our product team to bring our innovative ideas to life. You will be responsible for creating detailed and accurate technical illustrations that help communicate complex concepts in a clear and engaging way. Your work will directly contribute to the development of our products, ensuring that they are both functional and aesthetically pleasing.

What you need to have:

• Experience in instructional design and technical illustration.
• Proficiency in creating concept sketches, technical renders, and detailed drawings.
• Strong understanding of visual elements such as perspective, color, balance, and layout.
• Ability to visualize and accurately render objects in 3D space.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
• High attention to detail and the ability to produce clean, accurate work.
• Familiarity with graphic design and print layout.
• A positive attitude towards working with kids and understanding their perspective is a plus.

It would be a bonus if you had: 

• 3D programs (i.e. Maya, Blender, etc.)
• Packaging design experience
• Understanding of children/educational toys
