What Direct Sales contributes  to Cardinal Health

Direct Sales is responsible for driving sales and services to new and/or existing customers to meet individual and organizational sales objectives.

Responsibilities

• Applies knowledge of the customer's business to develop optimal solutions
• Designing and implementing an strategic sales plan that expanse company customer base and ensure its strong presence
• Identify emerging markets and market shift while being fully aware of new products and competition status
• Develops and implements policies and procedures to achieve organizational goals
• Proactively and with a regular cadence demonstrates to the customer the defined value of partnering with Cardinal Health both pre- and post-sales
• Effectively negotiates and collaborates with the customer and colleagues to influence support for mutually beneficial outcomes and achieve consensus
• Maintains open and consistent dialogue with internal contacts and external customer end-users to ensure the Cardinal Health team is meeting or exceeding expectations; assesses the root cause of unmet expectations and takes action to resolve them
• Identifies and qualifies new sales opportunities and develops plans for introducing new solutions through collaborative relationships

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field is required, graduate degree preferred
• 5yrs minimum healthcare sales experience: medical and pharmaceutical products is highly preferred
• Experience driving  effective strategies to build and foster customer relationships
• Prior healthcare industry experience is preferred
• Experience managing budget
• Previous sales and marketing experience
• Ability to travel 25% of time
• Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
• Excellent planning, forecasting, negotiation and presentation skills
• Must be fully bilingual written and verbal English and Spanish
