Position: Cybersecurity/IT intern  
Location –  Huntsville, AL (Must be local)  

Overview

Noetic is seeking an IT/Cybersecurity Intern. As an intern you will play a key role in researching, implementing, and testing new cybersecurity software. You will work closely with our IT team to strengthen our systems and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Research: Investigate and evaluate new cybersecurity software solutions that can enhance our existing security protocols.
• Implementation: Assist in the setup and configuration of selected software tools within our company’s infrastructure.
• Testing: Conduct rigorous testing of implemented systems to ensure effectiveness and reliability.
• Sandbox Environment: Create and maintain a sandbox environment for safe malware detonation to evaluate the efficacy of cybersecurity solutions.
• Documentation: Document findings, methodologies, and results from testing activities to inform future cybersecurity strategies.
• Collaboration: Work closely with senior IT and cybersecurity professionals to gain insights and contribute to ongoing projects.
• 
  Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and practices.
• Basic understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
• Experience with virtual environments (e.g., VMware, VirtualBox) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
