The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated Business Insurance Agent - Mid-Level for our Commercial Lines department. This is a remote, work-from-home position within a contact center environment.
Training Schedule: Monday - Friday, 13-15 weeks of training from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM CST (9:00 AM - 5:30 PM EST).
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM CST (9:30 AM - 6:00 PM EST).
In this role, you will work in an inbound sales environment, providing advice to business owners on insurance and risk management. You will utilize a full suite of Commercial Insurance Products to address each client's unique risk profile. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the insurance marketplace, carrier preferences, and relationships to place coverage effectively.
What You'll Do:
Act as a consultative partner for clients, leveraging technical knowledge to provide solutions that meet their needs.
Ensure compliance with insurance standards and Agency Management Systems to minimize Errors & Omissions (E&O) exposure through proper documentation.
Classify business types and provide accurate risk management solutions, utilizing knowledge of B2B sales cycles.
Conduct account reviews and offer consultative advice based on clients' risk profiles and renewal cycles.
Stay informed about industry trends and evolving regulations to improve your understanding of technical and financial issues.
Use Agency Management Systems/CRM and multiple carrier platforms proficiently to select appropriate products and carriers.
Apply carrier guidelines and processes for negotiating with underwriters on endorsements, renewals, and remarketing.
Calculate Insurance to Value (ITV) for various property types, including unique features and geographic differences.
Provide exceptional account service, including policy changes, certificates, endorsements, renewals, and cancellations.
Offer a concierge-level service for clients with complex needs, ensuring a personalized and high-touch experience.
Work with underwriters on sophisticated accounts for renewals, endorsements, and remarketing.
Ensure business activities are managed in accordance with risk and compliance policies.
What You Have:
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.
2 years of insurance sales and service experience, including at least 1 year in a high-value insurance agency or commercial insurance setting.
Valid Property and Casualty insurance license for your home state or the ability to obtain it within 90 days.
Experience with high-net-worth clients and handling sensitive information.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
What Sets You Apart:
4+ years of experience in Commercial Lines Insurance account management, including new business writing (excluding renewals and servicing).
4+ years of direct quoting and binding experience with insured parties.
Familiarity with Agency Management Systems and/or Salesforce.
Experience working in a multi-carrier environment.
Active Property and Casualty General Lines License for your home state.

Compensation: We assess market data to establish competitive salary ranges based on experience and market conditions. The salary range for this role is $51,840 - $92,880. Additional pay incentives may be available based on performance and at the discretion of the Board of Directors.
