The Opportunity

We are looking for a dedicated Business Insurance Agent - Intermediate to join our Commercial Lines department. This is a full-time, hourly position with remote work flexibility, ideal for those who thrive in a contact center environment.

Training Schedule:

Monday - Friday
13-15 weeks of training
8:00 AM - 4:30 PM CST (9:00 AM - 5:30 PM EST)

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday
9:30 AM - 6:00 PM CST (9:30 AM - 6:00 PM EST)

In this role, you'll work in an inbound sales environment, advising business owners on insurance and risk management. You'll use our comprehensive range of Commercial Insurance Products to meet each member's or non-member's unique risk profile.

What You'll Do:

Consult and Advise: Use a consultative approach to identify customer needs, build rapport, and provide tailored insurance solutions.
Build Relationships: Maintain strong relationships with members, non-members, and insurance carriers, leveraging technical knowledge and effective communication.
Ensure Compliance: Apply your understanding of compliance and insurance standards to minimize Errors & Omissions (E&O) exposure through accurate documentation.
Risk Management: Classify businesses and offer risk management and mitigation solutions based on their profiles.
Conduct Reviews: Facilitate account reviews and use carrier renewal cycles to provide consultative advice and address risk.
Stay Informed: Research industry trends and regulatory changes to enhance your technical and financial understanding.
Utilize Systems: Use Agency Management Systems (CRM) and multiple carrier platforms to select appropriate product and carrier options.
Negotiate: Partner with underwriters to negotiate endorsements, renewals, and underwriting decisions.
Calculate Values: Determine accurate replacement values for a wide range of property types, considering geographic differences and unique features.
Provide Service: Manage policy changes, certificates, endorsements, renewals, and other account services.

What You Have:

High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.
1 year of insurance sales and service experience, preferably in a high-value commercial insurance setting.
Valid Property and Casualty insurance license for your home state, or the ability to obtain it within 90 days.

What Sets You Apart:

2+ years of Commercial Lines Insurance account management experience, including new business.
Experience quoting and binding directly with insureds.
Familiarity with Agency Management Systems and/or Salesforce.
Experience working in a multiple carrier environment.
Active P&C General Lines License for your home state.

Compensation: Competitive salary range of $43,680.00 - $74,250.00, based on experience and market data. Potential for performance-based pay incentives.
