We are seeking a Director of Memory Care who is as passionate about their team's care for our residents as we are. The Assistant Director of Wellness is responsible to assist the Dirctor of Nursing in the effective overall management of the Wellness Department and the Memory Care Department including the wellness staff, and coordination with other disciplines to provide quality care to all residents. You will support and practice the philosophy, objectives, and standards of the Wellness Department within AHCA guidelines and revise protocols as necessary to ensure quality care to all residents within Assisted Living regulations. You also monitor the outcomes of the wellness service activity by evaluating the performance of wellness staff, scheduling and monitoring wellness staff ensuring compliance with all facility and regulatory agency standards, policies, and procedures, coordinating facility committees, and monitoring the effective and efficient use of budgeted resources (personnel, supplies and equipment) JOB TYPE: Full Time

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:

* LPN

* CORE TRAINED WITHIN 6 MONTHS

MEDICAL SPECIALITY: Geriatric Experience Required SCHEDULE: 8+ hour shifts and on-call

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise Wellness staff on shift
  • All Memory Care medication oversight, medication ordering, and tracking
  • Assure all medication refills have been ordered and carts are fully stocked.
  • Document medication changes accurately, including dosages
  • Measure and record vital signs, weight, height, and history of falls on every patient
  • Report concerns, or changes in resident condition to the Wellness Director
  • Admit, transfer, and discharge residents
  • On call duties alternating with the Wellness Director
  • Perform routine charting on residents on paper and in EMAR
  • Communicate resident/medication changes with Physicians and third-party vendors
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

* LPN

  • Experience preferred in senior living
  • Ability to work flexible work hours to support state and federal resident care requirements
  • Superior customer service aptitude and approach
  • Must be able to understand, speak, read and write English
  • Must be able to work at a fast pace, independently and as a team member with the ability to complete all job tasks with the assisted time
  • Must be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of teamwork and team concept.
  • Be able to effectively manage others on the wellness team
  • Be efficient in all required skills
  • Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, enthusiasm, and the willingness to handle difficult residents and employees.
  • Computer Skills required
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must be able to pass a Level 2 background check
  • Must be reliable, show up to work at scheduled shift on time
  • Must be passionate about working with seniors
  • Must be able to stand up 75% of the workday
