This position develops and executes media plans to generate support for promotion of athletic sports programs. The incumbent manages digital platforms, cultivates and manages media relationships, and develops original story ideas and feature articles.
These essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following. Additional essential functions may be identified and included by the hiring department.
1. Executes and implements communication efforts.
2. Manages digital platforms and team information.
3. Cultivates and manages relationships with media representatives.
4. Develops original story ideas and feature articles.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
AND
Experience:
Two (2) years of experience related to the above described duties.
Substitution Statement: Related experience may be substituted for education, on a basis set forth and approved by the Department of Human Resources.
